A daily scene from the early 20th century, set on the coast of the Spanish Levant. Where often it was the woman who had to contribute to the household economy with her work. Three female characters, weathered by experience and the sun, star in this painting, looking out to sea, with empty baskets to collect shellfish and babies in their arms.
